Exciting times!

It’s been an exciting time for some of the ladies in my UCW group (that’s Up and Coming Writers for those of you who don't know)

Ally is waiting for her first book to hit that stands

Kiru is editing her first booking as we speak

Doris is two steps away from getting signed

Suz is rocking with her mag reviews

and now Karin has won the chance to pitch to Harlequin Medical Romance line.

I know! Properly exciting!! Even though I am not at that point myself, I think I speak for the rest of the group too when I say, I am seriously so proud and please for each of them! When I read the message Karin put out yesterday about winning the chance to pitch, I was leaving the gym and was in the middle of tourist hell, otherwise known as the theatre district in central London, when I actually squealed....funny how tourists move out of your way when they think you have lost your marbles!

To top of what had started out as a pretty crappy Monday, Mills and Boon tweeted that they had some "exciting news for new writers coming in April" sooooo looks there is a New Voices 2011 on the horizon! Although I am not sure my stress levels can handle another attempt at that!

To all those mentioned above can I just say GOOD LUCK LADIES - ROCK THE HOUSE!!! For those of you, like me, who have not quite got to that point yet just remember Rome wasn't built in a day and JK Rowling was not found over night! We will all get there some day never you worry!

Now stop distracting me I have actual work to do!! Oh and on that note can I just remind you as the groups official IT GEEK my going rate for my services is a mention in the dedication of your first published book!!  :P Something like "Cherie is an IT wizard!!"  But I will leave you to fine tune it!  Hahahahahahahahahaha :D
